About the Artist

Gerald, was born in 1973, and is of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander nationality, with his Indigenous family descending from the Burketown region in far North Queensland and Torres Strait Islander family from Thursday Island. Gerald has found his own unique style of art ranging from traditional dot and animal inspired pieces, to others with a more contemporary feel, that reflects his view of the modern “urban” Aboriginal’s view of this beautiful country Australia. Gerald has sold hundreds of art pieces over the last 2 decades both in Australia and all over the world. Gerald’s artwork has become well sort after and collectable by art enthusiasts across the globe. Gerald has designed aboriginal themed games and buntings, his game “serpents & Walking tracks” was published in the Macquarie Atlas of Indigenous Australia: 2nd Edition, this has been an honour to be included in this publication amongst such amazing First Nations athletes, artists, designers and other professionals.
